Voices in DC

The view from our hotel in Baltimore, the Hyatt Regency!
I'm finally getting around to posting about the choir trip to D.C.! This post is very picture heave, so I'll put in small explanations as captions.

We got to tour Arlington National Cemetery, a very humbling exerience.

We visited the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unkown Soldier.

Our tour guide told us all about Audie Murphy. Look him up if you get a chance. It's really remarkable.

John F. Kennedy's memorial and eternal flame.

Our guide was hilarious!

Ta-Da! Our FIRST PLACE TROPHY!

That's right, the Beaufort High School Voices won First Place AND Most Outstanding Choir!!! NATIONAL COMPETITION! Aaaah!!
We were all so excited and screaming, and after the awards were given out, we danced the night away.

While we were there, we also had the opportunity to go see the Inauguration, which was wonderful. Unfortunately I was told that my camera would not be allowed in the area (which was a lie) so I didn't bring it. But nonetheless, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! I was so happy to share this trip and have it as my senior year trip.
